Sæby and the region
The old town with its small yellow-washed houses, attractive shops and cafés makes Sæby a unique place to visit no matter the season of your trip.
The port offers plenty of opportunity to linger and enjoy the friendly, maritime atmosphere. In the season, the port is a bustling place, with yachts, a smokehouse, fishmongers, restaurants and cafés.
However, not just the marina and the old town put the town in a class of its own. Nature around Sæby offers a rich variety of experiences. Only two kilometres from Viking Hotel is the Sæbygård Forest, with deep valleys and a winding stream, ideal for a long walk or a picnic.
Also the beach should not to be missed. The white beach, suitable for children, stretches away for several kilometres, lined by a lovely paved promenade.
